Cotton Blue Jeans Go Green™ denim recycling program is a call-to-action to recycle old denim and give it “new” purpose by transforming it into something new. Since 2006, retailers, universities, organizations, and individuals across America have contributed over 4.5 million pieces of denim and diverted over 2,290 tons of textile waste from landfills.
How Can I Recycle My Carhartt Jeans?
You can bring your old denim to any of our Carhartt Company Stores across the country, and speak with one of our store associates who will collect it for recycling.
What Carhartt Stores Accept Denim For Recycling?
All Carhartt Company Stores accept denim for recycling.
What Type Of Denim Can Be Recycled?
Any Carhartt denim jeans that are 90% cotton or greater can be recycled through the Blue Jeans Go Green™ recycling program. It can be colored, embellished, and/or printed. The denim can be in any condition, but please wash before bringing it in.
Do You Accept Other Apparel Or Clothing For Recycling?
For the purposes of the Blue Jeans Go Green™ program, we can only accept Carhartt denim for recycling. That said, other cotton apparel can be recycled and there are a variety of organizations that may be able to assist in these efforts.
